Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients

Dough

¼ cup sugar

1/3 cup melted butter

2 eggs

1 cup warm milk

1 ½ teaspoon dry yeast

1 teaspoon salt

4 cups Makhsous Flour

1 cup brown sugar

3 tablespoons cinnamon powder

 

Glaze

1 cup powdered sugar

3 tablespoons milk

1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

  • In a large bowl, mix together the butter, sugar, and eggs.
  • Add the milk, yeast, salt, and Makhsous Flour. Mix until smooth.
  • Cover the dough for 1 hour and let it rise.
  • In another bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon.
  • Punch down the dough, roll out into a rectangle, then brush with the melted butter.
  • Sprinkle the sugar and cinnamon mix over the buttered dough.
  • Roll up the dough and cut into slices of equal size.
  • Place the cinnamon roll slices close together in a buttered or oiled baking pan.
  • Bake at 180 °C for 25 minutes.
  • Leave it to cool for 10 minutes.
  • To make the glaze, mix the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla together until smooth and glossy.
  • Drizzle over the rolls and serve.
