Al-awwal is multi-purpose flour, used specifically in savoury pastry recipes that require strong dough extensibility such as pizza, samosa, dumplings, and savoury baked goods in general. Al-awwal was launched in 1999 in response to consumers’ need for hygienic and multi-purpose wheat flour. Al-awwal managed to convert a normal commodity into a powerful brand, making it a family favourite all around Sudan.
