1 cup sugar

1 egg

1/3 cup dark honey or molasses

½ cup oil

2 ¼ cups Makhsous flour

2 teaspoons baking soda

1 teaspoon cinnamon powder

2 teaspoons ginger powder

Sugar for rolling

Directions

  • In a large bowl, mix together the sugar, eggs, honey or molasses, and oil.
  • In another bowl, whisk Makhsous Flour, cinnamon, ginger, and baking soda together well.
  • Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and beat until you have a soft and smooth dough.
  • Portion the dough into small balls.
  • Roll the dough balls in the sugar and place them apart on a lightly oiled or buttered baking sheet.
  • Bake at 180 °C for 15 minutes, then serve.
