DAL Food divisions have a proud history of innovating in the market, from Sayga’s “Green Bakery Program” to Capo’s work with dairy farmers. We will continue to pioneer innovative approaches to creating shared value with our partners, and by turning a critical eye to our own approach to business and driving a focus on innovative thinking.
This project is a Social Responsibility initiative by Sayga Flour Mills, which is part of the DAL Group conglomerate in Sudan. Following the MDGs Goal 7 and Global Compact principles 7, 8, and 9, the project aims to install electronically controlled burners (device and system) to add value to customers in terms of cost-effectiveness, safety, consistent quality, and increase in production capabilities. There are two types of bakeries in Sudan, mechanical bakeries, equipped with modern ovens, and traditional bakeries which use wood as fuel. A small number of these traditional bakeries have switched to gas by installing poorly manufactured conventional burners, which are considered unsafe and pose a fire and safety risk.

At DAL Group we believe it is the right of all people with disabilities to have the opportunity to engage in productive and meaningful employment.
The Coca Cola Bus Stop Project was established to assist people with disabilities with reintegration, as well as becoming productive and economically independent members of the community.
On a personal level, the project has helped over 200 people with physical, intellectual, and hearing disabilities so far. But also looking at the bigger picture, the impact reaches far beyond and is reflected directly in passenger safety, the transportation system, and overall economic development.
