I joined DAL Food in 2012. My first role was to supervise the planning section under the Operational Planning Unit (OPU). Together with my colleagues, I contributed to building the planning section team. I now manage the Planning Unit and my main responsibility is to plan all incoming and outgoing logistics capacities in DAL Group in response to sales targets.
Doing business planning while trying to control chaos is the most valuable skill I learned in DAL, and I learned this by working as a Planning Manager in Logistics. The current business environment in Sudan is challenging to manage, but one should learn how to adapt in order to achieve the ultimate goals.
As I keep saying, there are many strategic and operational tactics every planner should master to link plans and execution.
